Fundraising Success: The 'Howard' Effect

When I learned that Robert and Becky Howard had agreed to co-chair the Dosher Memorial Hospital Foundation's Helping Hands for a Healthy Community capital campaign in 2016, I knew it would be a smashing success.

Raising $2-million over a short, two-year period within our small service area of Smithville Township is nothing short of remarkable. Many people worked on the Helping Hands campaign during this time, but it's the leadership by example, organizational skills, and incredible contacts of the Howards that made the outstanding results happen.

On behalf of the Foundation Board, thanks to the more than 1,000 individuals, businesses and organizations that made large, medium and small donations toward this fund drive. The patients who will benefit from new equipment and services at the hospital also send a loud, public "Thank you." --Mark Bachara, Chairman, Dosher Foundation Board
