Sliding Fee Discount and Financial Assistance


Dosher is committed to serving the healthcare needs of our community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We seek to provide care and treat all equitably, with dignity and compassion.

Dosher Memorial Hospital and its clinics do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, age, national origin, disability, religion, sexual orientation, inability to pay, sexual preference, gender identity or gender expression. No one will be denied access to emergency health services due to their inability to pay. There is a Discounted Sliding Fee Scale available for those patients at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

We have adopted a Financial Assistance and Collections Policy to assure that patients who have no ability to pay for emergency care services are not denied care. Dosher can also assist in the process of settling individuals hospital and clinic accounts.

We also offer financial assistance for anyone who may have a problem paying his/her bill. Our assistance includes investigating alternative sources of funding to pay the account. We accept credit cards and routinely offer monthly payment arrangements up to 12 months.

Our Financial Assistance and Collections Policy provides for the review of financial information provided by the patient/guarantor to determine if he/she meets our guidelines for financial assistance program. We use the Federal Poverty Guidelines to write off up to 100% of charges on a sliding scale based on income and family size.

Sliding Fee Discounts and financial assistance is available to both uninsured and underinsured patients.

NHSC (National Health Service Corps)
Dosher Memorial Hospital will serve all patients, offer discounted fees for patients who qualify and will not deny services based on a person's race, color, age, sex, National origin, disability, religion, sexual orientation or inability to pay.

OCR (Office of Civil Rights)
Dosher Memorial Hospital complies with applicable Federal civil rights laws and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, sex, sexual orientation or sexual identity. Dosher Memorial Hospital does not exclude people or treat them differently because of race, color, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation or sexual identity.
