Dosher Cafeteria earns Platinum A Award
Our hospital cafeteria is known for its delicious choices, from ravioli and Thai salad to chicken pot pie and mashed potatoes and corn bread. Our patients, staff, and volunteers look forward to their next meal, prepared by our excellent dietary department, headed by Lisa Botnick. Not only is the food excellent, but Lisa and her staff take the most stringent measures possible to ensure that foods are prepared in a safe and hygienic environment. The Brunswick County Health Department has recognized our consistently high health inspection grades with a "Platinum A" award.
The Platinum A award is reserved for food establishments who score in the 95th percentile or better on inspections from the health department for at least five consecutive years. This is the second year in a row that Dosher has received this distinction.
"We have a great team here on Dosher's Dietary staff," says Lisa Botnick. "We all know that food safety is patient safety, and that is our top priority." The cafeteria serves lunch five days per week, Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and is open to the public.
