Megan Shrewsbury Earns Top Designation as a Certified Patient Experience Professional

Megan Shrewsbury, the Organizational Development Specialist for Dosher Memorial Hospital, has recently earned the credential of Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP).

Achievement of this certification, which includes the knowledge and practical experience necessary to pass a rigorous examination, highlights Megan's commitment to influencing systems, processes, and behaviors that cultivate and support the expanding field of patient experience.

"This designation is significant as it underscores and reinforces the critical focus on the patient and family experience in today's healthcare environment," said Jason A. Wolf, President, Patient Experience Institute. "The recipients of this certification represent a visionary, thoughtful and committed group of individuals focused on changing the landscape of healthcare for the better."

Megan, who is also a SHRM (Society for Human Resources Management) Certified Human Resources Professional, notes the critical connection between a patient focused staff and positive patient and family experience. "This certification was important to me because our patients are important to me. The CPXP designation shows our patients that we strive for excellence. Human Resources and Service Excellence are not two separate positions. To me, they go hand in hand. Engaged employees equal improved patient experiences."

Megan, an employee at Dosher for nine years, has noted her gratitude for hospital leaders, Dosher CEO Tom Siemers, VP, CNO and COO, Carol Northup, and CFO Dan Porter, who have invested in Megan's professional development since she has joined the staff. Dosher is fortunate to have dedicated employees such as Megan on our team.
