Dosher earns 2nd national award for pneumonia, heart failure care

Dosher had one of the lowest readmission rates for patients with pneumonia and heart failure among 2,200 rural hospitals in the U.S. in 2017, according to the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH). For this achievement, NOSORH has presented Dosher with an Excellence in Outcomes award for the second time in two years.

"We focus on quality outcomes for our patients every day. This award for clinical excellence is great validation that we're doing it right, especially for our patients with these two serious conditions," Dosher VP/Chief Nursing Officer Carol Northup says.

NOSORH uses a comprehensive, objective assessment of patient care data to identify top performing hospitals for quality, outcomes and patient satisfaction.
