Two Dosher Staff Members Recognized as Healthcare Hero Finalists

Dosher Memorial Hospital is thrilled that two of our team members were recognized as Greater Wilmington Business Journal (GWBJ) 2020 Healthcare Heroes finalists.

While GWBJ has been honoring healthcare workers in our region through this award program since 2013, the COVID pandemic has brought deeper appreciation of the selfless contributions of healthcare professionals who give their all and who make the quality of life better for those around them.

We extend our congratulations to all finalists, while proudly acknowledging Amanda Reynolds, Dosher Nurse Practitioner, and LuAnn Barwick Dosher Respiratory Therapist, for all you give to our patients and the way you support our organization as a whole, every day.

Excerpts from their letters of nomination:

"In the most recent months since the onset of COVID-19, she (LuAnn) has surpassed expectations and gone the extra mile for her co-workers and patients."

"I have no words to explain her (Amanda's) dedication during the COVID pandemic. The endless hours she has researched and studied the virus, you would not believe."
