Dosher Staff Enjoys Drive Through Parade

They drove by with passengers holding up signs to their windows with messages such as "Thank you healthcare workers," waving and honking their horns. The drive through parade, thrown by the Compass Pointe Car Club and the Compass Pointe Motorcycle Riders Club in late July, was a lovely treat for the Dosher staff. Over one dozen cars, including a mix of both modern and classic sports cars, Corvettes, Mustangs, Camaro's, and BMW's, and several motorcycles drove down the road adjacent to the main hospital entrance, looping around the hospital parking lot, stopping briefly to chat with our staff.

The Compass Pointe Car Club has 55 members with a wide variety of cars including muscle cars, sports cars, a few exotic cars, and some classic cars. The Compass Pointe Motorcycle Riders Club has 36 members and has a variety of motorcycles including Harley Davidson, Yamaha, and other bikes. When John Veen, Chair of the Compass Pointe Car Club was asked why the clubs had decided to organize the parade, his response was, "Because it's the right thing to do."

Hospital leadership is extremely grateful for the generosity of the community since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and is appreciative of the recognition shown to the staff by the participants of this uplifting event.
